OK, this requires some explanation. After our tour of Bergama, we were given tickets for a bus ride to Canakkale for our tour of Troy and final ferry/bus ride to Istanbul. We were dropped off at a service station in the middle of nowhere and told a blue bus would be picking us up on about 15 minutes. This was a real act of faith on our part, but it worked!
