Believe it or not! These are real things we've seen here in California. |
This is the airbrush art on the side of a Cal Custom ice cream truck on display at the Peterson Automotive Museum. Interesting graphics for an ice cream truck, as some are definitely not for kids. See larger size here.
Never know what you will find on the 3rd St. Promenade in Santa Monica. Free Hugs.
Never
know what you will find on the 3rd St. Promenade in Santa Monica. The "Leaf Lady" complained that she was troubled all day by birds trying to land on her! |
|
Good pun. Anza Borrega Desert.
Omnivore driving SUV. | |
And what goes on in this pool? Hotel Del Coronado, San Diego |
|
Perhaps they mean adult Seagulls!
Does your Guru shop on Wilshire Blvd. in Santa Monica?
"Big Ass Fans" are giant aerodynamic ceiling fans built by his company in Kentucky.
Yes, it's full of dirt and plants. Parked too long in one space? Bergemont Station Art Center, Santa Monica |

One Saturday afternoon, while walking out the drive to pick up the mail, we encountered this guy. He's a vulture and he simply sat there for a half hour until he decided to leave.
Shortly
thereafter, Karen called me over to the garden where she showed this
guy. He's a diamondback rattler with 10 rattles, so he's 10 years old. The bottom photo shows him the next morning. What we did not realize was his head was caught in the netting and he could not free himself, leading to the photo from the next morning. After we figured this out, we decided there was no way we could have helped an angry rattler anyway! |

Interesting shape for the "sex organs" of a cactus flower.
Most people find bugs, cockroaches or even spiders in their hose. We fond this 10 inch (25 cm) lizard sunning himself on our window sill one morning. He was easy to get rid of - we got him in a roll a paper below him in this photo and carried him outside.
A real road runner in the Anza Borrega Desert.
Just in case you think Toyota Prius drivers are all liberal tree-huggers. Out here in CA, they are more likely to be running the freeways at 90+ mph racing with the big trucks in the right-hand lane.
Best Friends! Two frogs in our small pond. |
|
Matador Costumes? Sure, in Hollywood you can rent anything! |
|
Because in Hollywood, everywhere you look, someone is filming. Egyptian Theater. |
